Hi Guys,
Haven't pulled the trigger yet but the safety catch is off :)
After much procrastination, I have decided to put my own ram in a new iMac,
That is, buy with 8GB ram and then replace with 32GB of Crucial ram,

Module Size: 8GB
Package: 204-pin SODIMM
Feature: DDR3 PC3-12800
Specs: DDR3 PC3-12800 • CL=11 • Unbuffered • NON-ECC • DDR3-1600 • 1.35V • 1024Meg x 64 • lead free • halogen free •

If I get 4 of these, are they the right ones?

Regards,
Gary

Your Mac's Specs
15" MBP '06 2.33 C2D 4GB 10.7; 13" MBA '14 1.8 i7 8GB 10.11; 21" iMac '13 2.9 i5 8GB 10.11; 6S
That would be the correct specs for the current iMac.

If you're using Crucial's "Crucial System Scanner Tool" or "Crucial's Memory Advisor™ Tool"...then everything should be fine. That's why Crucial has these tools.:)

Thank you guys,

Much appreciated,
All good,
Just wanted to make sure, I would have bought local but nearly $60 more in price here,
But the USA is a long way from Australia, got to get it right
Unfortunately I'm not a geek but would like to learn how to be one:Smirk:

Gary

If you want to...add your location to your Mac-Forums profile. Sometimes it helps when folks are trying to answer questions. And some of our Australian members may also be able to suggest local/in-country options when appropriate.:)

Want a tip?

Buy memory from either OWC or Crucial and always cheaper than local even after paying first class postage. We gets ripped off down under man!
