Not all web sites, but some web sites that I go to, all of the letters that make up the copy are transliterated into little boxes with upper case "A's".

I can get the same sites with Chrome, with no problem, so I'm assuming that there is some problem with Safari.

Would appreciate any suggestions that would be helpful.

Thanks,

David

You might have the wrong encoding selected in Safari. Open Safari preferences, click on the "Advanced" tab. Make sure the encoding states (Western ISO Latin 1). If it's not that, check all your Safari preferences especially those that select fonts and size.
