Yes, it works perfectly with the half dozen or so wmv files I played so far.

I've loaded it twice can't get it to work at all. The second time, yesterday, I first removed every trace of WMP. But every time I click on any WMP link, a popup appears telling me that the file isn't in QuickTime so it can't play it. Flip4mac installs its plug-in.

Flip4mac blurb says the crashing bug was fixed. I guess it was, but the effect is the same on my machine. Dead silence. So I uninstalled Flip4mac then trashed it's package that the uninstall didn't remove, and reinstalled WMP.

Anyone know what I may have done wrong? Must be something, since other people can use it.

I'm running 10.4.5, firewall and firewall options turned on.

Well as far as I am aware, the Flip4Mac Universal Binary is not available yet.
And in one of the latest patch updates, Flip4Mac actually disabled the ability to install the program on Intel Macs.

Sadly, all we can do now is wait for the UB.

Yesterday I thought I installed Flip4Mac.mpkg. All I get when I try to view a video clip is a message saying I need various other downloads that the "Help" window tells me are not compatible with Mac hardware. The package is sitting on my desktop and I can't find the Uninstall option. Shall I leave it there and wait till the automatic software updater tells me there's an update available?

Hmm.... It let me install it on my Mac and it runs fine. I haven't run into any problems with it. I don't have that many WMV's that I watch, but it works for the ones that I have.

Just a cautionary note to anyone reading the entire thread. It was six months old when resurrected, so much if not all the comments are overtaken by events.
