So I was swapping out harddrives and RAM and I ended up busting the component that is in the red circle. I googled around trying to figure out what it was and if it had any serious implications but have yet to really figure anything out. Can anyone give me a run down of what it is and any implications?

Thanks a bunch,

JJ

Appears to be the fan connector.

Head for ifixit and pull up their fan replacement guide for your model to verify.

Definitely agree with bobtomay...go to ifixit.com and check out their assembly/disassembly procedures.

If I had to guess...that connector has something to do with the airport antenna, bluetooth, or maybe the speakers.

But check ifixit.com for the REAL answer!;)

That is the speaker cable. The fan cable is to the right and down from your circle.
