A handful of days after my AppleCare Warranty ran out, my MacBook Pro all of sudden would not start up.
The charger had no orange/green indicator.
The battery life indicator did not work.
Trying different outlets and chargers did not work.
I decided to take it to Apple and they first attempted to replace the charger port inside the computer. Unfortunately, there was no success.
They suggested that the next step would be to replace the logic board.
I decided to hold off attempting the logic board repair from them because I wanted to see if you all had any other suggestions:
1) Any other potential problems that could be causing this?
2) Any recommendations on where to purchase a new logic board for a competitive price?
Basic specifications of the laptop is as follows:
2.66GHz Intel Core i7
8GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M 512MB (1920x1200)
Hi-Res AntiGlare Wide Screen
500GB 5400RPM HD
OSX 10.8
Thanks!
