get rid of email address

There is an email address that pops up and I use if I am not paying attention. How can I delete it from my Apple mail? It is not in my address book. THX!!!

Under the "Window" menu in Mail you will see a choice called "previous recipients." Select it and you will see a list of all recently-used email addresses. Edit as desired and that "bad" email won't bother you again.
