external hard disk problem in mac.. turned into read only and files not visible but m

im using iomega external hard disk and Mac OS X 10.5. it suddenly stopped working on Mac then i turned off the NTFS driver and it opened in read only format and now i can see my folders but no files but still memory usage is showing. and in each folder memory showing zero and i could not open hard disk in other OS. how to get my files. how to solve this read only problem. please help

Try installing macfuse to see if that brings your read write privileges back
