Good morning,

I would need to:
- remotely access my MacPro in the studio from my MacBook when traveling abroad
- remotely turn on/off the remote machine (MacPro)

Will it be possible with Apple Remote Desktop 3 (and the local computer connected to the web through an AirPort extreme, ethernet) ?

At the present I am using TeamViewer but the problem is that if I by mistake turn off TeamViewer on the local machine, there is no way I can launch it again from remote.

Thanks,
s

I'd suggest logmein.

No solution will let you turn a machine on from a fully off state. But sleep is ok. Alternatively you could set your Mac to start at certain times to ensure access availability
