My bank tells me I need antivirus protection for my AppleMac. Can anyone advise me which product I should purchase. I have IMac and MacBook Air.
Any advice would be appreciated.

Alas Max bank IT 'specialist' would not know a Mac's elbow from its what sit as they are all Windows experts who will tell you it is vital to have AV software. There are no Mac OS X viruses and very few malware threats. However if you feel you must download and use ClamXAV, which is freeware, and keep the operating system up to date as Apple regularly issues Security Updates, patches etc.
I would seriously look for another bank, or better yet a credit union. Do you trust your money to an institution who's IT dept is so far up its own -- um, policies -- that they don't know Macs don't need an antivirus program??
HarryB and Chas are correct but, if you're incurably paranoid like me and want an AV software on your Mac, I recommend ESET Internet Security 6. I have it installed on my MBP 15" Retina. I have noticed no slowing down of the computer as of yet. It does not hog system resources like Norton and McAfee do. Not only does it have AV, it also protects against malware and ID theft.
