If the purpose of the ASC is to help users of Apple devices wend their way through anomalies and glitches in contemporary Apple soft/hard ware.
Apple's software used to be self-healing t a degree and bullet-proof. That is no longer the case. Apple's support used to be immediate and personable. Now it a quagmire of irrelevance.
Enteer the ASC with its point system designed to lure in the compulsive, antisocial, sociopathic shut-ins that think they make their mark in the world by avoiding it.
They clamor, cheat, connive and aberrate in all manner of ways to gather point and anoint themselves as 'leaders' of this make believe society.

Their pusillanimous lives leave them ill prepared to lead. They spend their days lording their point totals over the vast majority of regular Apple users, who on rare occasion simply cannot figure it out.

Occasionally someone will be vexed enough by these twits and complain that the inmates are running the asylum. Apple's response is to pull the comment thread and let the status quo prevail, even though it does more harm than good in terms of problem solving. Apple is slowly but surely becoming, not replacing, Microsoft.

Mac-Forums is in no way associated with Apple or the Apple Support Community, how the members over there behave and what the people in charge do about it is beyond our control and purview..

You will find this community is different in membership and content, so enjoy your stay here..

I'm not sure what the purpose of this post is. ASC is only hosted by Apple. Other than that, it has no direct connection to Apple. Suggesting that this is a problem that Apple has to solve is like suggesting that a problem with MF is one that can be attributed to those who host the forums. ;)

We're not ASC, we have nothing to do with ASC and directing these complaints here doesn't do much if the goal is to constructively critique the culture at ASC. If you don't like it, don't go. If you want to fix it, you need to talk to them.

In the mean time, feel free to enjoy MF. Although we have a point system as well, it certainly isn't use to build a hierarchy of prestige so you won't have to worry about that here.
