At quick glance it looks like the requirements stayed the same as Mountain Lion, so that's great for my late-2009 iMac..:)

Wait and see. When Mountain Lion first came to developers it would install on 32bit Mac Pro 1.1 and 2.1. Later version, and final retail release, were all changed to 64bit.

Just when I was about to do a happy dance you went and rained on the parade. Thanks buddy. :)

Early 2009 Mac mini (Intel Core 2 Duo, 2.0 GHz)
Late 2009 MacBook (white, unibody - Intel Core 2 Duo, 2.2 GHz)

Both are capable of running ML, so this should mean that they could run MVK (my shorthand for Mavericks).

Right?

After the announcement Monday, I figured I'd have to look at getting the cheapest MBP I could get my hands on for MVK.

You should klnow Sly when going in parades, always take your brolly ( English for umbrella)! Time will tell Chris. Not due out for about three or four months if all goes well.
