• The Mac-Forums Community Guidelines (linked at the top of every forum) are very clear, we respect US law and court precedence when it comes to legality of activity.

    Therefore to clarify:
    • You may not discuss breaking DVD or BluRay encryption, copying, or "ripping" commercial, copy-protected DVDs.
    • This includes DVDs or BluRays you own. Even if you own the DVD or BluRay, it is still technically illegal under the DMCA to break the encryption. While some may argue otherwise, until the law is rewritten or the US Supreme Court strikes it down, we will adhere to the current intent of the law.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying unprotected movies or homemade DVDs.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying tools in the context that they are used for legal purposes as outlined in this post.

I have a Mac Pro 2,1 (late 2007). 16GB RAM (upgrading to 28GB RAM).

I'm running 2 displays via my*Nvidia quadro fx 4500*video card. These are standard DELL 22" monitors (DELL 2208WFP)
*
I'd like to run QT videos (via my music software DAW) to a Toshiba 42" LCD screen. It has old VGA input (along with S-Video and RCA).

I'm currently using a FW Canopus box to do this (via S-Video), but it's no longer behaving well with my softwarre MOTU Digital Performer 8) and OS (10.6.8).

Is it posisble to install a SECOND*Nvidia quadro fx 4500*video card*in order to view video on the TV screen (and possibly also a 3rd computer monitor, since it has 2 DVI outs?).*

Would two Nvidia cards be ok on my motherboard?...

Thanks!
