I'm searching for where to find out my hard drive capacity. Finder tells me how much is left, but out of how much total? I'm not finding this in System Profiler under Hardware. If it matters, this is a late 2007 Mini.

You should be able to get this info in the Finder. You do a right-click on the hard drive icon in the Finder...then select "Get Info". "Capacity" is one of the bits of info that is provided.:)

I knew it had to be staring me in the face but I just couldn't find it. Thanks.

Yes, it is: 74.53GB
(Why "Serial-ATA" and not "ATA" at the top?)

Yes, it is: 64.09GB

I just assumed that you were using a Serial ATA drive and not a Parallel ATA drive.

It appears under Serial-ATA as it is a SATA hard drive. Under ATA would be an ATAPI optical drive or any other ATA device.

I just meant that I have both listed. The capacity was "hiding" from me. Why the different values?

Ok, that almost makes sense, except for the alphabet soup. There are simply too many acronyms to be able to remember even half of them.

Finder shows the values for the current partition, SP for the whole drive. What gets represented as "drives" in Finder is really just partitions. Are you using Boot Camp by any chance?

No. Only one OS (10.5.8) and no partitions. However, I do have a TechTool Pro e-Drive, so maybe that's interpreted as another partition and accounts for the difference.
