Okay, so lately when I log onto something such as my email, or macforums, my keychain message pops up asking to access info on my passwords etc. Is this because I have switched from Safari to Google chrome? It has been doing this the past couple of days. Please put my mind at ease. Thanks in advance.

Yes it is. Chrome comes with a plugin that works with Keychain so you don't have to do all the work ;)

Personaly I never use it when it comes up on mine

Yes, it's normal for Chrome to ask if it can store your passwords and keychain info. You can keep track and edit them from Chrome's preferences.
