I have a mac mini early 2006 that i upgraded to:
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Mac OS X Lion 10.7 (11A511)
Model Name: Mac mini
Model Identifier: Macmini2,1
Processor Name: Intel Core 2 Duo
Processor Speed: 2.33 GHz
Number of Processors: 1
Total Number of Cores: 2
L2 Cache: 4 MB
Memory: 4 GB
Bus Speed: 667 MHz
Boot ROM Version: MM21.009A.B00
SMC Version (system): 1.3f4
-------------------------------------------------------------------

After having upgraded my mac mini it says No Built-in Audio in the system report. The volume icon is active but won't allow any adjustments. What can i do to get this resolved.

Would think the NVRAM reset should be the one for that.

If that doesn't do the trick, then try an SMC reset.

I have performed the NVRAM reset and the SMC reset with no luck. In audio preferences it still says "No input devises found", "No output devises found". What can i do now please I'm confused now. The sound was working fine when it had OS X Tiger but stopped after I install OS X Lion.

Why did you decide to upgrade to Lion on that machine? A 2006 Mini would be much better served running Snow Leopard. Some where along the way you had to have Snow Leopard installed in order to get Lion. Where did you get Lion from?

If that Lion install is for a different model Mac, it may not work as it may not have the drivers for your audio card.

Can only make the same suggestion as chscag, call Apple and see if they are still selling Lion and purchase your own copy. If not, they are selling 10.6 for $20.

I will just echo what Moderator bobtomay told you.... Purchase a copy of Snow Leopard from Apple direct for $19.99. Do not pirate or copy Lion. You very likely have a copy of Lion that is not for your machine. Also read our guidelines which you can find in my signature line.
