I have a MBA and can connect to my wifi when my computer is right next to the modem. As soon as I move more than 20 feet away diagnostics shows that ISP failed, internet failed etc. I still show a strong wireless signal. I have tried deleting and adding back the wifi but it still keeps happening every time i move further from the modem. Any help would be appreciated.

It works outside the house. You put in a new modem and now it is having problems inside. I would get on the phone with the comcast.
