This IS the Apple one, thats the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) in the title. It's just that this is an auction for a used one as opposed to a new one.

I have this cover in gray and it works fine. My wife got the newer cover that includes the back as well and that's nice to keep the back of the iPad scratch free as well..

The leather ones are nice, and hold up well. I have the navy blue one and love it. I switch between the leather and the dark gray poly smart cover.

I have the black leather one, and love it. It looks so much better than the ploy one (to me.)

I agree, and the wear gives the leather ones character and the poly ones turn to crap!

leather definitely picks up character with age. Mine is almost a year old and looks great with a little wear. there is no fraying or damage, just slight distressing that comes with using and handling leather.

As much as I like leather they don't make one that covers the back of the iPad. That's why I opted to go with the book style cases.
