I was wondering if this is possible... I want to change the function of my F1/F2 keys (Keyboard Illumination) from a dimmer to an on/off switch. So, if the keyboard light is off, hitting the Illumination Up key would turn it on full blast, and the the Illumination Down button would switch it off. Feasible?

I don't believe that is an option, if Apple designed it that way i assume ALOT of coding and time is needed to change it.

I do however know of an app that may help you otherwise: Lab Tick
My cousin showed me it when I had a MB Pro, and you might be able to find use in it :)

That's actually perfect! :Shouting: It lets me use a multi-key shortcut to do it rather than the one key, so I keep the functionality of the two keys as well. I'll be passing this one on for sure. Problem solved.
