PLEASE, is there any way in which I can block unwanted updates which freeze my computer?

I do not have an Epson printer, nor do I intend to buy one.

I do not want to download anything from iTunes - EVER!

If you don't have an Epson printer, you shouldn't be promoted to download an update for one. And download iTunes itself or from within?

If you don't want to update, just don't..ignore them each up the Software Update comes up..

BTW, if you are indeed running 10.6.2 as shown in your Mac Specs, you really should upgrade to 10.6.8.

When Software Update notifies you, there is an option to tell it "no more!". I don't recall the exact term. Search your pull down menus; you'll find it.

+1 on you really should upgrade to 10.6.8.
