ibook g4 won't let me dl quicktime! Help!

I recently purchased an iBook g4. Each time I open up iTunes I receive the following message:
"iTunes requires Quicktime 7.5.5 or later"
I currently have Quicktime 7.2.1. Each time I try and download the updated version, it doesn't work. Please help me out!

It's quite possible that with as old a computer as an iBook G4...the version of Quicktime you are trying to download...the iBook G4 may not meet the system requirements (either from a hardware standpoint or from a Mac OS version standpoint).

Cast your eye over the specs. For a PowerPC iBook G4 you do need to be running Leopard OS X.5. For Leopard the processor needs to be greater than 867MHz.
