iMac-21.5"(2017):OS Catalina 10.15.2 IOS13.3 iPhone 8+ iPadpro v2
Finally upgrading TV system i.e.: adding apple TV, primarily to use with netflx. So, do I need to run a cat 5 cable to TV area, or can I do everything via wifi?

You can do it wirelessly but if you can I'd suggest using Cat5/6.
