unable to access linksys admin page

Hello

I managed to connect my ibook to a linksys modem/router only when I turned off security (so it does not ask me for a wep password key).

I am trying to access the admin page remotely using 192.168.1.1 but all I get is a page stating 401 Unauthorized, Authorization required.

The problem is that it does not allow me to enter a username and password.

Anyone know what to do?

Thank you

Closer than you think.
Your Mac's Specs
Performa 6116 2GBSCSI 8MB OS 7.5.3
refresh the page after you delete the safari cache.

Any other ideas?

if you can access it through your xp machine, i would set it up through the xp machine. but if you want to do it through the mac, reset the router and set it all up again.

Bought an imac and same problem.

I think it is Safari. When I had my laptop I got it working with Firefox.

Also the other problem is that my WEP ASCII key is longer than the space in he airport enter password box. Thus I cannot connect wirelessly.

Definately Safari. Anyone know why it works in Firefox/i.e and not Safari?

Thanks
