I have a Macbook Pro model Mac2,2, and am unable to install Snow Leopard from the DVD I recently purchased. In order to accommodate the new OS, I upgraded the HD to a 320GB drive and reformatted it after backing everything up on a 500GB external drive. I also replaced the optical drive that wasn't working. No matter what I do during the installation attempt, I get to a screen that wants me to "...repartition this disk using 'GUID Partition Table.'" I have no idea what this means and, anyway, I don't see any option for choosing "GUID Partition Table." Can someone please help?

When you boot from the snow leopard DVD and you get to the welcome screen the menu bar at the top of the screen lets you get into Disk Utility from the utilities menu

Now look at this link, step 3 onwards

The Snow Leopard disc is a full retail install DVD and not one from another machine? Did you format mac OS Extended (Journaled) into Partition and set up as GUID table?
