my 07 macbookpro F1-12 keys did that, took it to apple genius bar and the solution was a $700 keyboard replacement part.
Fortunately you have an iMac so I'd say it's time to get a new keyboard. Am I correct in assuming you have the original apple keyboard that came with your iMac?
