The Quad G5 power mac sells for AUD$5299.

It only comes with 512MB memory! If your paying that much for a mac....you'd expect a bit more than that.

I know you can buy extra non-Apple ram for a hundred or so bucks but considering the price, I'd expect more to be included....at least a gig.

On the US site, the power mac is listed as US$3299, so we pay more anyway.

Yeah, I mean actually using the QUAD with 512 MB would be like ordering a triple quarter-pounder with cheese, large fries, apple pie, and a small diet soda.
