$5299.00 Australian dollars is according to XE, around $3,978.49 USD and $2,250.20 GBP (dont know how to do a pound symbol).

On the US site, the power mac is listed as US$3299, so we pay more anyway.

AUD$1.00 is worth US$0.75

Ya, I noticed that myself. When I saw the MacBook Pro I was like "Whoa, this is the first Mac to have a 1 gig of RAM standard configuration!" Then I thought about it and said "Wow, this really is the first Mac to have a configuration with 1 gig standard?"

Yeah, I mean actually using the QUAD with 512 MB would be like ordering a triple quarter-pounder with cheese, large fries, apple pie, and a small diet soda.
