Can anyone tell me if the trailer we can make in imovie can them be used in a video. I would love to put a trailer on the front of a video but can't see anyway to do it. New to all of this so bear with me please

Yes. Once you've made the trailer, export it as a movie in AIC (Apple Intermediate Codec). You can then treat this trailer and just more footage for your other movie project, and drop it in wherever you want.
