choppy videos on youtube

Hello
I have an older iMac PowerPC G4 700MHz with 1GB SDRAM and running Mac OS X Tiger 10.4.11. Safari Version 4.1.3. I just upgraded my operating system to Tiger and was doing SoftwareUpdate and I think it upgraded Safari too. You Tube videos are playing back with choppy video and sound really bad.
Anybody have an answer to this problem?

Are you using Flash for the YouTube videos? If so, that's great that it's working, but hard to improve performance without upgrading Flash which requires a newer version of OS X that would probably be bad for your iMac..

Perhaps it's time to start thinking about upgrading to something a bit more recent?

As Flash keeps getting updated and YouTube more demanding then it was 10 years ago, Old computers whether PC or Mac will drag and skip on You Tube Videos.

There is not a lot you can do with a CPU that slow in todays world. Only thing is try and pick the lowest resolution available. That will help a bit. 240p works on some of my older computers.
