Hi,

I'm hoping that someone on here can help me, I recently bought a second hand macbook without the original install disc. It was fine for a few weeks but every time I shut it down, reset or log out of my user it deletes my admin account meaning I have to reboot it into single user mode and reset the admin account through the cmd. Does anyone know why this would happen??

How are we supposed to offer advice when you haven't told us which MacBook you have (year and model) and what version of OS X it's running?

Quick advice: You need to buy an install DVD, erase the drive, install OS X clean and start fresh.
