Hi

I plugged my phone on USB to my MacBook Pro to charge and a warning popped up (I can't remember exactly what but something about too much charge to he device)

Anyway I unplugged the phone and replugged it in and the laptop died. Now when the charger is plugged in it flashes slight orange and does not turn on!

Please help!

You can not charge an iPhone or iPad from the USB ports on a MacBook Pro as those ports do not provide enough current. You probably received an over current error message from the system.

It's possible you damaged the USB port on your MacBook Pro by replugging the iPhone back in and now the machine has shut down. It may be time to take your MBP to Apple and have them look at it. In the meantime, if you have another MagSafe charger, you can try to see if that will work. Also, does your MBP operate off AC?
