Trying to watch a pool match on ustream insidepool (dot) tv

All I see is a series of stills. Can't see a ball roll.

For a test I watched a recorded pool match on youtube, it plays great.

Activity monitor shows 500M Ram free when watching the youtube match, only 25 M free when trying to watch ustream.

In the past I have been able to watch pool on ustream, but not lately.

How fast is the service you are subscribed too? Next the iMac is now six years old and that affects speed. Also more memory, you can install up to 6GB will help. What speed router are you using - 802.11N, G. B or A?

Im using PPoE and DSL.

I just clicked on a pool match recorded yesterday, it's working just fine.

Live Streaming Billiards Video – Videos

then click on the Shane vs Thorsten match.

I went to the ustream support link and watched one of their videos, no problem.

Couldn't watch tonight's pool match, just saw stills. Everyone on the chat said the stream was working great.

I will click around on ustream and see if I can view other streams.

Your problem is likely their server - maxed out on number of connections allowed or they had maxed out their bandwidth on the server that was providing the live stream - not a thing you can do on your end for either of those issues. The ad would not be coming from their server.

Thanks for the replies guys.

In the chat they kept telling me to refresh, reboot, etc, so I figured it had to be on my end.

It's always best to try those things (and in this case to make sure you have the latest version of Flash and check your settings for Flash) just to rule out something on your end. But, when everything is streaming fine except one single item after trying those - that's a good clue the issue is at their side of it.
