Apple does not allow you to this with iTunes. Your best bet is to just use the iPod as a Hard drive. Drag and drop the songs from the Finder on the Mac, and then use just pull them off on the Windows machine.

I would like to do this too. I loaded a few songs from a playlist that I burned from my CD. When I loaded them to my shuffle, and tried to play them in media player at works PC, no go. The type of music file, which was converted to acc, would not be recognized in WMP. What do I have to convert them to in order to play them on the peecee?

How do you pull them off of mac onto PC?

Well, the way I did this was;
1. Plug in your Shuffle
2. Select the tunes you want to transfer
3. Convert those songs to wav form via iTune pref's> import
4. Once you have your wav files, drag them to your desk top
5. Open finder and drag the files from the desk top to your Shuffle in the source list. You will see a progress bar.
6. Plug your Shuffle into the peecee, find the files and play them in whatever program you use.
Worked for me.
