iphoto delete folders

I have duplicate folders I have imported to iphoto. Not clear on how to delete the dupes that have 50 pix or so in each. Help. Ctl click then delete doesnot work.Thanks

Have you tried dragging them to the trash? I think that's worked for me in the past.
