kobo ereader app crashes

I have used the previous Kobo ereader apps without any problems but the latest one crashes. I'm using OS 10.6.8 on a MacBookPro. I've reinstalled the app, deleted the preferences, emptied the trash, zapped the pram, restarted and it still happens. I've done this 5 times. Any suggestions?

I have solved this. The problem is with Adobe Digital Editions 2.0 software. It makes the kobo ereader software crash. When I used the older version of ADE 1.7.2 it worked and I could install the kobo desktop app.
