Sdk 10.7

How does one obtain the 10.7 SDK? I currently run OSX 10.7.5 and my latest SDK is

MacOSX10.6.sdk

It should be included in Xcode. Get the latest version in App Store.

AppStore - Xcode & SDK

Thanks for the reply - Before I posted, I went to the App store and downloaded the latest Xcode. There were no installation instructions. No Installer. Just a file called XCode. I had downloaded Xcode before , and copied it into Applications & ran it but got no SDK update (to my knowledge). It's a mystery - how does one find the SDKs?

Xcode includes the SDKs for the appropriate development environments. If you don't have it for some reason, you could always download Xcode from here (make sure to get one that works with Lion and includes the 10.7 sdk).

So, if I understand correctly, XCode includes the SDK (internally?) What if I wish to use the SDK in an application such as WxWidgets?

You'd have to consult the wx documentation for that.

Thanks - all I need to do is copy Xcode into the Applications folder and run it - then SDK 10.7 will be available in Xcode at least?

No, Xcode is an installer (IIRC) if you download it from Apple's website although the process may have changed. That package should also install the SDK.

It is an installer. Look at the root of your drive. Do you have a Developer folder there?
Look n the SDK folder. Oddly enough, I'm running 10.8.3 but only have the SDKs up to 10.6.
And have (I think) downloaded the latest Xcode.

OK, from the Xcode faq...
To run the latest version of Xcode, make sure you are launching Xcode.app from the Applications folder. Xcode 4.3 and later is packaged on the Mac App Store as a single application and installs in your Applications folder as Xcode.app.

Previous versions of Xcode placed the tools and frameworks in the Developer folder. You can delete the older version of Xcode by dragging the Developer folder to the trash.

So don't bother looking in the Developer folder.

EDIT: The SDKs are in the app itself. Do a 'Show Package Contents' on Xcode and look for it.

XCcode

Thanks for the help- I am on the internet with my iPhone as a tether - I will try to download the latest XCode on Friday. I did notice a version of XCode I downloaded was updating the iOS libraries, but the SDKs remain at 10.6 and lower.
