Greetings. New to Mac, Purchased a 2011 Macbook Pro to run Pro Tools for recording. Unable to install and get the following message: com.apple.installere.pagecontroller.error-1. Any clues? Thanks, Alan
What version of OS X is on that MBP and does that meet the minimum requirements of the version of Pro Tools you are trying to run?
If that's all good then assuming you are using a MPKG file, from (source)
The solution is to open the .mpkg with Disk Utility and create an uncompressed read/write .dmg. Mount the dmg and run the .mpkg and all should be fine.
How about some specs? Version of OS X that your MacBook Pro is running and version of Pro Tools you're trying to install? (Make sure your version of Pro Tools is compatible.)
Thanks for the speedy responses. Not sure how to do the first suggestion. Disc utilities didn't seem to offer a way to reformat. The MBP is an 8.3 with OS X 10.8.2. It is a 2011 customized -16GB/300GB Intel SSD + 1TB 5400RPM HD, bought on Ebay. I'm trying to install Pro Tools 10 with an Eleven Rack system. I had it installed on a laptop but it was too slow.
