I removed my flash drive from my MacBook Pro without ejecting it. Now each time I plug in the USB it shows the name but won't read the drive. After a minute or so an error message pops up saying the drive wasn't ejected properly, however it doesn't allow me to eject it property. I plugged the drive into another pc and it worked fine. Any ideas?

I'm a new Mac user with running OS X 10.8

To eject it, simply select highlight the drive icon, then press Command+e, or drag it to the trash (Trash can will turn into an Eject Icon.

If you are having issues with the drive.. save the contents on another machine... then reformat it on your Mac using Disk Utility... format it to "Mac OS Extended Journaled".
