Switching between iPhoto Libraries...

So I got a LaCie 250 GB external and I put a separate iPhoto library of old photos on it. I want to keep only a small amount of photos on my ibook so as to keep space free.
What is the easiest to be able to switch back and forth between the iPhoto Library on my ibook, and the iPhoto Library on my Lacie?
Would I have to do anything with my preferences?

20" iMac C2D 2.16ghz, 13" MacBook 2.0ghz, 60gb iPod vid, 1gb nano
Hold Alt/Option when you click iPhoto you can then select which library to open
