Is it possible to create an iso of my bootcamp partition so that I can just run bootcamp and allow it to install Windows as I had it.

I restored a time machine backup in the past and lost my Windows partition.

I know now that time machine is partitioned and seems to back up bootcamp for me.

I want it to be recognizable to bootcamp ideally.

WinClone can create an image of your Boot Camp partition as a backup which can later be restored. Purchase WinClone from here. $19.99

Not sure what happened there, but Time Machine doesn't backup a Boot Camp partition. It's strictly HFS+ partitions.

There seems to be a bit of confusion about this from time to time. Time Machine will only back up a Windows setup if it is being used as a virtual machine (Parallels, Fusion, etc). In those cases it backs up the VM files not the partition itself.

I'm not sure I understood his question in the first place which is why I recommended WinClone. He seemed to realize in his first sentence that TM did not backup the Boot Camp partition. I'm still not sure what he meant by the second statement though?
