2 very different questions...

Question 1: My cable box has a digital monitor out. Can i connect my ibook to it so that i can use it as a display? Can the ibook even be set to be a display?

Question 2: Are there any software amplifiers or a way to get my DVD sound louder?

I just want it louder, you know how in quicktime you turn it up louder? I want somethign like that but overall, but not enough to blow the speakers!
