recommend best 250gb external hd for pbook?

hello, i'm new here and looking to buy an external hd to use with 2 wireless routered/modem'd pbooks.
I'm guessing firewire connection is a must have? but i'm fairly ignorant with computers, any help is greatly appreciated.
I live in the uk.

My 2 cents. These days, for a network your best bet is to get a Buffalo Linkstation Network Storage Center(or other manufacturer network storage device)...the ftp options will blow you away You can ftp into it from anywhere.
