Sorry if I've posted this question in the wrong forum or thread...I'm a newbie (sorry!)

Can anyone identify the strange 'link' symbol found at the right-hand side of the 'Anne' network menu item? What does it mean? I live next to a large park surrounded by houses and 2 high-rises.
The network shows up as a locked (WPA-2) network using 802.11 g and always with a great signal strength but it's not there 24/7 like most others.

That's the symbol for a "hot spot". Someone (Anne) is using her iPhone or iPad to set up a hot spot for their Mac or PC. You definitely live in a crowded WiFi area. :)
