Hi all, this is my first post and after trying a few programs, I can't seem to load the .TIF file (a file created by a scanner when you can scan something to your computer) and must upload this picture of my old cable bill to my new cable provider to receive a gift card. I am running out of time.

Please let me know which program certainly works for this type of conversion, and if it is free. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

Before posting I searched my iMac for random TIFF files and found a few and tested it out. So as Preview is saying, those files must be funky..

Try Xee as well and see what it says..

I downloaded and tried it as well, and Xee says it can't display the file either. All I can think of is that I tried changing the file extension type to JPEG from TIF to see if that would work. Not sure how or why the image would be corrupted... anyway I could make the file operable?

It's a copy of a previous cable bill which I need to send to my new cable prodiver. I'm wondering if a camera phone pic will suffice...

If multiple programs say the file is corrupt, it probably is or in some proprietary format, though with a TIF extension, that only the original program that created it might be able to open.

Can you not scan the bill again or don't you have access to another scanner?

Can't answer about the phone picture..
