I have another monitor which I use for misc things like tool panels and various windows that I don't want on my main screen.
I also use it in vertical mode to view PDF books. I made a stand with a turntable so I could flip it.
What I need is a keyboard shortcut or script (if necessary) to rotate the screen without going to System Prefs. and rotating it there.
Is this even possible? Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks.

Does this solve the problem for you? The website only mentions MacBooks but it might work elsewhere.

Unfortunately no. It does rotate the screen, my main iMac screen. It doesn't rotate the external monitor.
Thanks for the try though.
