iPhone 4 - Sound keeps dropping out!

13.3" Macbook 2GHz/iPod Classic Black 80GB/iPhone 4 32GB/iPad2 WiFi 16GB
The sound on my iPhone has started to drop out randomly! Doesn't matter if music is playing or not, still does it! When music is playing and the sound drops out, the music controls disappear. Have tried resetting, updating, removing phone case, pressing on speakers (maybe lack of connection).
Any ideas?
