Hi All,
I have done the honest thing and purchased a copy of Guitar Pro 6.
In the past I acquired an illegal copy (come on - who hasn't these days) to try it out.
This has since been deleted (although there may be some traces left - I not a Mac superstar; hence why I am posting this).

I am able to download the legit version and install it fine.
However when I go into "about" tab it has the illegal User ID.
I have tried installing & re-installing several times to no avail.

Is there a way that I can I guess "re-set" or remove all traces of the original file? This was at least 12 months ago so I'd have no way of finding the exact source again.

System specs:
OS X Version 10.7.5

Really appreciate any help I can get as my only other resort is to go Arobas Music and spin a story to them and hope the help.

Cheers.

a. Find out if Guitar Pro has an uninstaller. Use it to clear out your old version, THEN install your legit version.

b. Consult with the developer about how to completely remove your old copy.

c. If all else fails, try installing it again and then removing it with App Cleaner or something like that. Then reinstall.

Thanks - I managed to find a GP6 cleaner and deleted/re-installed.
Appears to work fine.
Case closed - THANKS!!!
