Hi, I've just want to restart my old Macintosh performa 6200cd and the OS is damage and I lost my recovery cd, as you know it's an old one and I want to put back in shape to give to a good friend, she can't go to newer one because she's using an old program and she help people in their last phase and can't afford to buy even the cheapest one not even a use one, so I want to give it to her.
Can someone help me and have the image of the cd so I can burn it and reinstall the OS.
Thanks
Norm

That model as released with OS 7.5.1 and 7.5.3 is available as a free download from this link. As these were released on floppies you will have to download each and every file as they are all under the 1.4MB limit of the floppy.

Classic Mac OS Downloads and Updates

If your friend wants to use the 'net you may be better off looking for 7.6.1 as a minimum and up to OS 9.1 which the Performa can handle.

Suggest OS 9.1. Make sure the CD is a full install and not one tied to a particular model such as a Bondi Blue iMac. May be difficult to find.

Well go with System 8 if that is what you have. Anything later than OS 7.6.1 should be fine for connecting the the 'net.
