Are there any F1 fans around here? Myself I've been following F1 from 1994 to 2002, and from 2007 to now. I can't wait for tonight! Go Vettel, Go Webber, Go RBR!!

I think NASCAR is big in the US and F1 outside..I can't say I'm a fan of either, but I like seeing F1 cars go at their crazy speeds, that's quite a lot of fun. Interestingly, the sports dynamic is kinda scattered across the US. NASCAR is huge in the middle of the country..wheres other parts of the country not so much..I'm from Massachusetts and I am a fan of Football..not much the other sports..but others (who've grown up here) have some sport to cheer for all year long..

I usually watch sports were it's more man than machine..:)

Too many...
I've been an F1 fan since I was probably 7 years old. I enjoy almost all sports, but if it's physical, soccer is my favorite. If it's racing, F1 is my favorite.

F1 is probably the most physical sport in the world at the moment. These guys train extremely hard so they can withstand hours of harsh treatments (mainly crazy G-forces) that would make 99% of us faint in seconds. NASCAR, not so much; just look at Tony Stewart's general shape (round), and some other unfit and/or old guys "racing" in NASCAR.

I think he meant physical as in the sport has physical contact?

Anyway, the race today was pretty epic; team orders add an interesting aspect to it for me, but I would've loved to have seen the two red bulls and the two mercedes go at it properly.

Also, Hamilton pitting in the wrong spot was pretty epic for me!

I used to watch F1 more than I do now. I find the whole idea of team orders rather annoying. The bigger problem for the last few years though has been that in the US F1 races seem to be televised on networks that don't do a good job promoting the fact they are carrying the races. That's a real problem when races are scattered over two or three networks during the course of a season.

I used to watch avidly, and will still watch if the race is on early or I don't have better things to do, but it's all so clinical now. Granted the racing has improved over the last 2 seasons, but I hate Vettel, he's too up himself, as was shown after the race yesterday.
Hamilton is a doofus for pitting in MacLaren, funny though.
I will still watch for as long as the season is interesting. My money is on Alonso (as long as he listens to his team...)

I missed several races last year due to confusion about what network they were on for any given week. I should have thought to check the site,

I gave it away. Team bosses instructing drivers to let team mates with high Championship points through is terrible. Pity the poor bunnies betting on the outscome, where betting is legal.

Corrr..look what I found in the Ferrari shop in Venice. I think it was Felipe Massa's car but I can't be sure.

I took this shot through the window so the quality is not spectacular but it takes your breath away to be this close. Shame it got photobombed by the missus :Mischievous:

Hahaha...he would argue that he is in shape because round is a shape ;P

Yes, there is! I am a great lover of Formula 1. I saw the American Gran Prix at Watkins Glen in 1967 and 1968. I have intently been watching F1 for the last ten years. Last season was the best I had seen and this year could be just as exciting, I hope.

F1 fan

I love Formula I and went to all of them at Indy. I didn't get tickets early enough last year to go to the US GP, but this year I plan to go, unless I am on my yacht waiting to cross the gulf to Florida. I also love ALMS and have been to Sebring every year for the past 6 years, and I went to LeMans in 2008.

I hate NASCAR and most American racing series where the cars are all the same technology and all look alike. I love the new technology that comes out of F! and ALMS. That's the techno geek coming out in me.

I was until Vettel 2 races ago overtook Webber AFTER team orders to turn the cars down because they where so far in front. He claims he didn't hear it, and to me thats just Bad Sportmanship Wont be watching another race this year.
At least in Aust we have the v* SuperCars and now with Nissan and Mercedes coming into it, it will make for some good racing.

ajm112446 - I am living on my yacht up in mid america right now to be out of the hurricane season season in Florida when insurance skyrockets. Pan to return to Florida in November and then go to Bahamas for the winter.

I don't smoke cigars. I quit smoking 30 years ago and don't ever want to start again.
