I am an interior designer who uses Canvas 8 to do all of my furniture plans and drawings. But Canvas 8 does not not work with the Lion OS. I am looking for new a software program to do 2-D drawing of furniture plans, wall plans, furniture design and the like that gives me the flexibility that Canvas does and draws in scale. I am not interested in 3-D programs where you drop in pre-drawn furniture. Thanks!

How much are you willing to pay as Mac Craft Pro has a lot of good reviews, and is a powerful 2D CAD App but has the option to tone down the technical aspects of it
They seem to have other Apps that could meet your needs too.

You have the option of running the Windows version of Canvas using a virtualisation environment like Parallels/VMWare Fusion/Virtualbox
