Your Mac's Specs
Powerbook G4/ 15.2"/ 1.67 ghz/ 2 gb RAM/ ATI Mobility Radeon 9700 (128 mb RAM)/ 100 gb hdd@ 5400 RPM
So I've settled on the Apple 20" Cinema Display as an external for my PowerBook. I just have a few questions:

So I got through MacWorld ok, but I'm woundering if anyone has heard word on if Apple wants to replace the current line-up anytime soon. News?

How extensive are the screen controls? Aside from the brightness and contrast on the side, what is there? (I'm obviously asking software-based).

Is there AppleCare for the ACD's?

Not really many on-screen controls at all: No contrast ,what you have is brightness and you can bring up the shutdown/restart/sleep/ dialogue with the on/off button on the display.

Obviously you can calibrate everything else from within the display preference pane.

Unless you have a real hankering for the cinema display, you can get better & cheaper displays from 3rd party manufacturers.
They just don't look quite as stylish...
