changing desktop icons

can i change the icon for my icons on my desktop

for ex. like change the mac HD to a different icon?

Of course! What Mac user wouldn't want to customize thier desktop? Use CandyBar, it neatly (and safely) replaces your old icons for custom ones

what if i just want to change one instance of it.

for example, when i put in my digi cam card i want it to show up as a smartcard, not a removeable device.

-Click on the folder/icon once to highlight. Then go to file. Get info.
or
-You can Right Click and go to "Get info"
or
-Key command... "Command/Apple-i"

An information window should appear (Similar to properties on a PC) then click once on the icon in the upper left corner, it should highlight in blue tint. Then simply paste your new icon in by using the key commmand "Command/Apple-V" or file, paste. And it should appear. Close the window and it should change on the desktop.

^ where do I find the actual icon's to copy?
